Briefing Distributor Reps Without Losing the Afternoon
A ninety-minute format that keeps field teams engaged and leaves them with a pocket card they will actually use.
Long brand presentations drain energy before the first retailer visit. Distributor reps need the mechanic, the price story, and answers to the three objections they hear every week. Everything else can live in a leave-behind PDF.
Structure the room: fifteen minutes on why this promotion matters to the retailer, twenty on the mechanic and order codes, thirty on role-play, and fifteen on photo and compliance standards. End with a laminated pocket card—not a forty-slide deck.
Run briefings in the language the team uses on the road. If HQ materials are English-only, translate the critical lines yourself before the session. Misheard mechanics create accidental discounts that erode margin.
Follow up three days later with a short WhatsApp checklist. The second touch is where adoption happens—not the applause at the end of the meeting.
