POS That Survives the Depot: Designing for Distributor Reality
Beautiful displays mean little if they arrive crushed. Practical specs for kits that move through Thai distribution.
Agency mockups rarely show a humid depot at 6 a.m. or a van stacked to the roof. Trade POS for Thailand needs material choices and pack sizes that respect how distributors actually move goods—often mixed with other brands on the same route.
Prefer modular kits over fragile freestanding units when routes are long. Flat-pack shelf trays, laminated wobblers with spare adhesive, and clearly labeled route bags reduce damage and confusion. Include a one-page photo guide so store staff know the intended look without calling HQ.
Test one sample kit on a real delivery run before mass production. Ask the supervisor what broke, what was left behind, and what the retailer ignored. Those notes are more valuable than another round of design polish.
Finally, align kit quantities to store tiers. Over-shipping premium units to small traditional outlets wastes budget; under-shipping modern trade wastes the listing you fought to win.
